My practice draws from quiet, sensory details—breakfast plates in morning light, long lunches, linen, ceramics, interiors and the effortless elegance of French and Italian life. Working intuitively, I build layers of colour and texture, balancing softness with structure and restraint with boldness.

Each piece is created by hand in Australia and designed to live beautifully within a space, shifting with the light, mood and character of its surroundings. I commissioned this piece with a brief, as poetry. I experience the ending line "Tell me we'll never get used to it" every time I look. The dimensionality and emotional layers, where the eye goes, and whether the mood is drawn light or dark, never quite seems to resolve. Smooth and yet scratched, tender and yet innocently violent, childlike and playful while slightly corrupted. The piece is an emotional slow burn that always flickers and never ends. Which is simultaneously its lament and its triumph.
